Hello again all. Today I got my very first Buffalo Nickel actually 2.

One is 1935 the other dateless. Also 1942 wheatie and $7.50 in clad in 3 hours. ***Wiped dirt off the rest of the coins and no silver, but did find 25, 27, and 44 wheatie also***

I have asked and recieved some great tips from many members over the last little while. Mirage, Bscofield, Daytondigger, actually many others but at the moment it escapes me. Also I have had quite a few members who have gave me great advice at trying to solve my delimma with getting halves and no banks here willing to take the clad ones back with no less than a 10% charge on returning change. Among them are Immy, Phillip_in_NM, Paul in WA. Plus more. In a short 5 months I have gotten messages from several friends and peps I have never spoken to. YOU GUYS are all awesome.

Great thanks as well to TicoTiger for making the trade to get me my new CZ-6A. God I love this detector it blows away the BH 505 I had.

But today I have to give a big SALUTE and thank you to BK. BK your tip on nickel signals with the CZ-6A really payed off today. Especially where you said if it alternates between this and that dig it. BAM got the deep nickel and after removing the plug it alternated. I dug careful and deep and low and behold I am staring at my First Ever Detected Buffalo. 40 mins later bang here comes another. THANK YOU BK!!!! And all you great peps who have helped me over the last 5 months.

Forgive me if I missed some names. There have been so many of you, that as your tips and help. So many good friend I have met. Boobydoo, Nana, River Rat, Sherm, GEEZ lol sorry too many to list. But you can be sure that when the occasion arises and I am met with a situation like today's I will indeed give credit where credit is due.

Here is the exciting part about my finds today. Its a sight that has had festivals and trades since the 20's. As I understand it no one has detected it in a long time. I am sure some peps probably did very well on the silver in the past, but I am sure silver is still hiding out there. Its a huge grassy field I MEAN huge. And this came out of an area only 10 foot by 30 foot. Not even .001% of the area.

So the potential is great. Plus I am sure that I did not even give a good coverage to the area I covered. I bet there is still a good amount hiding in there. OF course I could have just gotten the lucky spot, but then again who knows.

I do know one thing. My daughter is going to get to have a field day again before it turns cold. I think she will be very much entertained since there is enough hits to keep her entertained. Not a lot of trash yet either, so a big surprise. But I did leave quite a few pull tabs to dig. I am really hoping to see my wife / daughter perhaps pull a ring out on Saturday. That would be really awesome and make both of their days / weeks... you get the point.

So wish us luck please :)

Thank you all for reading. Sorry if I did not mention your name and you helped me. There truly is a large number of peps who have helped and commented. OF course we all know this is just the way it is here at TN. TN members all know that most all of us are really classy peps who are always there to help.

I am certainly glad I joined this forum. You guys are the best. And if you are a new person reading this. JOIN!!!!! You will not be sorry at all.

Marc , Jeff , PBK, Wreckdiver thank you for maintaining and keeping this site a top class place to be. As a computer professional I have seen a lot of forums etc. You guys are very level headed, informative and quite understanding.

In case you are wondering. I am taking this time to thank many peps because I finally have a great detector. And I feel that I am starting to become a good detector. I think I have finally broken away from beginner to intermediate. I still have loads and loads to learn, but I know that I am in good hands. Because of this I am making this long note with thanks. After all it is long overdue now that I feel I am beginning the second leg of the journey from decent detector to good detector.

Here is the pics. I hope you all enjoyed the read. As you read this post if you want to take the time to thank those that have really made a big difference for you, go ahead. I don't mind hijacking this for that. Would be an honor.

WTG Postal. Congratulations ;D Nana took the words right out of my mouth again... "I'm thinkin that if there hadn't been anyone encouraging me along when I first started, I would have never found anything! And would have probably given up after the first couple of weeks! We do have a good bunch of folks here, and I appreciate all the help too! I learn something new here everyday. " That's the truth...TN is the place to be.

;) RR

Congrats on the Buffalos! HH, Mike
