First button, and it's got gold gilt? Help with ID?

Today I took the CTX3030 out on its maiden voyage. I am very pleased with how it worked, and was easier to handle that my old old. I found this button about 7" deep about 100yds from a cellar hole. Made the mistake of rinsing it with water.... A little of the gilt came off. Still has the shank, nice first button I think. If anyone knows what it is I would appreciate help with ID. Highly doubt you washed any gilt of, you just cleaned the button to show what is left.

Went through the links I've been using for my own button ID's but struck out. It looks really familiar though... Any manufacturers mark on the back? I can't see anything in the picture.

Looks like an 1820 - 1830 Vermont Militia button.

I saw that pic too, but I couldn't find one with gold, and mine has to lettering on the back. Just more gold gilt.

Looks like the ID is good, maybe that one was custom made with the gilt.
