Hunting in one of my newer spots and found this Coat Sized Louisiana Pelican button. Back mark is, I think, Extra rich with a Star...The only group in my area were the 3rd Louisiana Infantry...

Also a few three ringers, round balls and what I believe is a canteen spout...

Not a bad day! Been hunting steadily for three years and this is my first Confederate Button...

Congrats on the Pelican! The wait was worth it. I waited for almost 8 yrs. then found 4 more in two weeks! so good luck...................HH

Northwest Arkansas - The only Louisiana group to fight up here was the 3rd Louisiana infantry...Battle of Pea Ridge...

Ol Heberts men probably. I have found a few coat size pelicans but no cuffs. Found mine about 3 miles south of pea ridge at my grandpas
