Hi guys, well i finally got the courage to go in the water for the first time this year. It has been a cold start for summer here in West Australia in fact it was the coldest summer start for 70 years with the temp in the low 20 Celcius.
Surprisingly the water was quite warm i got in at 5.15 am and stayed untill 7.30 thats when everybody started turning up and i can't be bothered dodgeing swimmers and answering stupid questions like "what are you looking for? Gold." People are bloody stupid they see you with a metal detector and all that registers in their small minds "he's looking for gold" well i suppose in one way they are right, gold jewelry.

Anyways i'm starting to blabber to much! so i will tell you what i found in the short time that i was there for.
$12.70 that paid for the fuel to the beach and back home.
2 nice heavy silver rings
1 drowned Sony Ericsson cell phone

Here are 2 pics one is the beach that i did and the other is of the finds.

Cheers Raoul

Those are some cool finds ;)

but it's that beautiful beach I am craving ::)

Many HH days :D

way to go M8 next time maybe double bag that tele. in a few ziplocs baggies stillable to us it if the honey calls .i plan on getting a water machine maye a tesoro tiger shark i have a M8 who has a bunch of swimming beachs that would be untouched for the most part in the water as far as gold rings and jewelry goes that surf detecting can be pretty hit or miss wed call that in the U.S. a triple (baseball analogy)with an error(drowned phone) those rings are honkers, and you got petroll money so its a good day for sure!!!

Thanks for looking guys, dekalb33 my mate has the Tesoro Sandshark and i can tell you its a well made detector you can change coils on it without having to send it to the factory and he finds plenty of goodies with it, i have the Excalibur but if i had to buy another one i would go for the Sandshark.

;) Raoul

really thats an interesting obsevation..a $1000 dollar machine versus say a$600-$700 dollar machine hmm the sandshark is a PI unit,AH?
