I was detecting in a local park today when an elderly gentleman came over to
see what I was doing. He thought it was interesting and even suggested that I
search in a more methodical way instead of going here and there and in circles.
He told me he lost a ring 60 years ago while gardening in his yard, I told him I
would be happy to come over and look for it if he wanted. He took my name
and number and said he would call me, I hope he does. I also had a big shock
after he went home, an F-18 circled the park at about 500 feet several times.
The last time he came straight towards the trees I was detecting under, I thought
there was something wrong with the plane and he was looking for a place to crash.
I have never herd a military jet so close before and for a moment I thought it was
going to crash right into me, it was very scary. I take pills for high blood pressure,
let me tell you I needed them after that!

The plane that flew over got the attention of the Governor of Connecticut!

Here is some video of the jet over another part of CT that day, the one I saw was much lower!
