first detector compadre question.

Seems when disc is lower then foil I get a lot of static and or beeps while holding still,sweeping in air or the ground. Past foil it works good. Except if I jiggle the machine the coil picks up something that is not there. Only slow sweeps does it work correct.

Sounds like you have the coil wire wrapped too loosely or a loose connection in the coil. Make sure the coil wire has enough slack that you can move the coil from one extreme or the other without over straining the coil connection, then wrap and/ or tape the rest of the wire around the shaft snuggly enough that it doesn't wiggle easily. Also possible that the internal sensitivity pot is set a little too high. You may want to call Tesoro and ask for Rusty, as well.
