Detector(s) used
Minelab EQ800 & Makro Multi Kruzer, the rest are collecting dust...
The EQ800 I ordered in September finally landed!!

I met up with a friend, he brought his Minelab SE Pro and we hunted a little area he discovered a while back. It's been a while since I ran a Minelab detector (had an Etrac about 5-6 years ago, but didn't find it to be a good machine for iron infested relic sites, so sold it). Have a ton to learn on the EQ800, but right out of the gate it makes a nice find! I have a lot to learn about the EQ800, but I recorded my thoughts on the first hunt, good and bad.

Thanks for watching!

Awesome video! That ring is amazing!

Impressive! 🙌

I’m intrigued by the Equinox and would like to try one eventually. Glad to see it works for you. Cheers

Nice ring. How deep?

Thanks everyone, definitely an interesting detector that has a lot going for it. Lots to learn on this detector, hope to do some more videos in the future with it, and maybe a test between it and the Makro Multi Kruzer

Nice ring. How deep?

It was about 6" deep, the EQ800 didn't do anything special to find it, but I was floored to dig a nice gold ring right out of the gate :icon_thumleft:

congrats on the gold! I'm finding it very capable in the iron for relics...

seems like I am seeing a lot of "beginners luck" with the equinox posted on the internet.... I'm thinking it is more like the machine is more capable than many thought. Can't wait to try one

Beautiful ring
Congrats

Thanks

Tried it at a new relic site with a buddy and his Exp2, and it did well there. Still learning it, so cannot offer a lot about it yet, would like to get a good 80-100 hours on it before really giving an assessment on it, as it's totally different then anything else I've used (most similar to my Etrac, but better so far).

Thanks everyone, I'm looking forward to the next EQ hunt, seems very, very capable in my dirt so far :occasion14:
