First Find!

So I picked up $400 dollars worth or Half roll's the other day I found a Single Coin. IT was an End roll! The problem is i had to go to over 20 different banks in the area to finally find enough roll's. I think i'm just going to have to Order a box at a time to save on the Gas money.

Ya you can definitely run the tank low with this hobby- a box could be a good thing or not (seeing as I just went 47 without a thing)- have you found a bank thatll sale you a bag off a counter? If not then go the box route and hit banks for loose cwr when youre out n about

yeah, the first bank i went to said "yeah we have like $500 dollars worth that someone ordered. let me go grab them" My hopes were terribly high... then the teller came back and said that they had sent them back.

most banks around have said that "yeah people have been picking them up lately" so i'm sure there are a few people hunting in large amounts around me. All that being said i think i'm going to drop to a lower coin like dimes. I'd be able to get a larger amount of dimes than half dollars anyway. I think the best luck i'd have is to actually order the boxes. Picking up what people dump doesn't seem to be a good way of going about it if their are other CRH's in my area.

Yeah, i was pretty excited when i got it. I'm going to continue searching as well as start MDing around the city. When i saw the coin on the end of the roll I became hooked.. To all sorts of hunting coins.

Try Municipal Park in downtown Boise. I think it's the oldest in the city. I know of people who have found many silver coins there, including Barbers. Check the playground too - they used to have that bark mulch around the swings & slides & I'd find $5-10 in quarters every time I'd go there.
