Hey Gang.......

Man did I ever have cabin fever! The weather was iffy this weekend with some kick butt wind......but I had to go!! I went to some of my outta the way places and did pretty well!

I was absolutely shocked to find the silver dollar. You just don't find those anymore and it was my lucky day. I really thought it was one of those gigantic washers and when I picked it up, I couldn't believe my eyes! :o :o :o It's the second one I have found. I also found the presidential dollar coin in the same playground!

The "Dora the Explorer" charm is really tiny! She'll fit on the end of my finger tip. And the gold hoop earring is actually .925 silver overlaid with 1/20th 10K........but hey......I'll take gold any day! :hello2:

I cleaned up on some clad too! Found a new school today that I must have been past 20 times and never knew it was there. It has two huge playgrounds! I found 1.75 in quarters under one swing neatly stacked on top of each other like they were in a roll.....but no paper. And gosh at the earrings! No pairs this time! :tongue3:

I had a blast and I'm tired as heck.......Hope everyone got out this weekend and found some goodies!
Thanks for reading and Happy Hunting!!

Congrats on the gold, you do realize though that the earring is 925 or sterling that is plated in 1/20th gold. Keep up the great finds.

Yep....that's exactly what I said in my post...... ;D

[/quote] I would call it a clad dollar cause far as I know only a San Fransico minted dollar is actually 40% silver...

Way to go Moon. I hit a farm and the Edisto River landing this weekend. Did find a 1897 nickel and a Locket on the farm but the boat landing was a total waste. Too much junk. Have you ever tried Odell Weeks?

Ok.....I apologize for jumping to conclusions. I stand corrected on the "Silver" dollar. The Eisenhower Dollar is a 1972 no mint mark edition made of copper-nickel clad. If it had an "s" (San Francisco mint) mark over the date, it would have been made of 40% silver. Hope that helps to answer your question.

Nice finds  Is the Baby Phat charm real too?

Hey FP....I didn't know what you were talking about until I Goggled Baby Phat. I see now that you are talking about the cat "charm". It's actually just a metal logo piece with 3 screws on the back. I'm sure it came loose from a purse or backpack or something. It's cool though!

Hey SC Shooter.........Welcome to the forum! I have hunted Odell a few times....I get lucky occasionally, but it's usually heavily occupied and I don't hunt on playgrounds with children present.

Hope everyone gets out soon! Have a good day!
