So I bought the Equinox 800 over a year ago and due to my busy schedule, I haven't had the chance to start learning it until a couple weeks ago. I took it out to a local elementary school ballfield that I am very familiar with to practice with it. So after 2 outings to the field (and after the waterproof headphones arrived) I thought it was time to get the machine wet. I decided to take it to a relatively large, old swim area that I have gotten 2 old gold rings from and just "mess around". I got a deep signal (approx 8") and was jumping around at about 5-6 on the vdi. Signal was scratchy but repeatable so I started digging it. It was about knee deep water. After the 3rd or 4th scoop of material I checked the hole and the signal was gone. Swung over the tailings and there was the scratchy signal. Scooped off the top and there it was...
