First GOLD of 2014 ! Ring #16

Finally got the gold monkey off my back for 2014 :laughing7:

. I'll start with Friday's hunt first . Got out after work and hunted with my buddy Kevin at a local middle school . We hunted maybe 2 hours when I finally got a good target :thumbsup:

. It was a +81 at 7 inches . I was happy to see my first silver dime of 2014 . It's only a 1963 Rosie but I'll take it :icon_thumright:

. Also found a gold plated chain that had me going for a minute . Other good find was a 1957 wheat cent . Now for this morning :headbang:

. Kevin , Ryan ( eagleforce ) and I got out to a school / park that has been very good to us over the years . Well not more than 20 minutes into the hunt Kevin had found a nice 22k gold Mother Mary pendent and a sterling ring :thumbsup:

. Then I got a very mixed up target , jumping from +18 to +32 at 8 inches . I thought maybe a older nickel , well it wasn't a nickel :hello2:

. #16 ring of the year is a 10K gold 1946 class ring !!! It weighs 5.1 grams . It does have one letter E inside but no school name on it . This one will go in the treasure chest ! Total clad for both hunts was $16.73 .

Unbelievable! I thought the ring might be older because my mom had a class ring shaped like that except with a large stone in the middle. What a shocker!

Pl8man, Man that chain got me going too. Love the older class rings and that's a beaut.. I have only found newer ones.
It looks like it wasn't worn much before it was lost, appears to be in great shape. :icon_thumleft:
