Went out last Sat with Etrac007 and found this silver pin and the 1902 IH.

Went out yesterday and found my first half and this 1901 IN plus a few wheaties none special.

I could use advice on cleaning up IH. I tired boiling proxide but it didn't do alot. Some of you guys really have great pictures of clean IHs.

I don't have a camera but use my scanner for these pictures.
Have a great Holiday weekend.

You guys are killing me! Been at this forever and I can't find a Frankie to save my life!

Barbers, Walkers and Kens, pulled many over the years but these Frankies, I thought they were extinct!

Nice hunt Jim!

Yeah, I'm with you, can't clean 'em, can't get a good pic of 'em. Working on it!

Woo Hoo!!!!

Old balding Ben rises again!

Nice job, Jim! :icon_king:

Somebody on Today's Finds does a nice job on his wheats by using room temp peroxide and soaking them for 24-36 hours with a toothpick underneath so both sides get the bath at once. I tried it and it works great. If I ever find another Indian, I'm going to try that method on it.

Nice genie sword, too! :)

Congratulations Jim on the elusive Ben! What a great find!

Congrats on the two Indians. From my experience if the hot peroxide does not work on the Indians they may be to corroded to reverse the effects of the soil. That second Indian is probably about as good as it is going to get.

Great group of coins and that pin is really cool also! :hello2:

Great old finds Jim! Congrats on your first half!

Congrats on the nice finds Big Ben Looks good. He has been popping up quite a bit lately.

Wooohooo! Congrats!

Congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , now You have good broom to swing . Wane trade ????????????

Congrats on your first half Jim! What a great half to find too! Love the liberty bell on there.

For the IH's, I swear by the 35% room temp tech grade peroxide... just drop it in and let it soak for as long as you need. The toothpick idea undereath sounds like a winner... that's a common problem, getting to both sides at once is best. Never use an ultrasonic cleaner, or ammonia on old copper... the smooth exterior pits away.

Benjamins are the greatest half you can dig ... :icon_thumright:

Congratulations on your first ... Continue to persevere ...
