Hi cntrydncr1, hope you had a great time over here :icon_thumleft:. As for the coin, it looks like a Penny, but the reign is a bit harder to work out. It could be anywhere from Edward 1st to Richard 3rd, I'm using my laptop at the moment, but I'll boot up the desktop in a while and that has a Hi-Def screen. I should be able to make out more detail then, could you post the dimensions of it?

Thanks Ian. It was a good trip. I was thinking Richard III from the details I could see but another friend from the UK said he thinks Edward I. It is approx. 1/2 inch diameter.

Just returned from 3 weeks detecting in the UK. Had a blast. Finally found my first hammy so I guess I'm a real detectorist now! Can anyone help with the ID please??

Hello. There you have a very nice 1377-1399 Richard II Half Penny. She's a beauty. Congrats mate!
