Hey friends. Its been a while since I have hit the dirt. It has eitehr been way too hot or there Is something that needs to be dont to the house. Me and my wife have a little boy coming in november so we are trying to get everything ready before it gets here. Anyways. I got out for about 1n hour 1/2 today. It is like 98 degrees so I didnt wanna push myself too much in the heat. I had a good day though all in all. Right as I was about to call it a day.. I noticed 3 pennied practically laying on top of the ground. So I picked them up and swung my M6 across the area. It have off a penny signal. I cut a plug and pulled it back and like 10 pennies just fell all around the hole. It seemed the more I mixed the dirt up the more pennies appeared. I ended up finding 82 pennied in the one hole. 85 total. I also found this rock.. It goes off everytime I put my garrett pinpointer to it. Any ideas? its not really heavy... . I think there may have been a jar there with pennies in it, Because noticed a lot of brocken glass. I only got one wheaty out of the hole. Its a 1952 S. thanks for looking! GOOD LUCK ALL!!

wow! that's a lot of pennies in one hole! hope a few were old? & congrats on the wee one! won't be long before he's showing up his dad TH'ing. & yes, thank goodness fall is just around the corner. not close enuf for me tho.

I'll be damned OleKty! Two things, that beats my 26 coins in one hole that I just got three days ago, ANNNNND, yesterday I pulled a black stone, looked more like a piece of coal and light weight, that set my M6 and propointer off. I have it out in the car, I'll have to post a photo later. And BTW, don't you EVER wait 24 days again, are you crazy!
P.S. Congrats on the YoungKyGround!

I use to dig that type of rock all the time
when I lived out in the county and it made
me mad every time.
Seems like on the ace it would come up on
the penny signal.

thansk for the comments! I will prolly keep the rock anyhow.. Never know.. good luck!

First, congratulations to you and your wife on the new baby!

Second, what a bizarre mass of pennies! That's truly A LOT of 'em. Maybe a kid's treasure trove?

Thirdly, you need to do some more things with the rock.

1) see if it is attracted to a magnet.
2) your last photo (15.jpeg?) _may_ show some metal in the lower right-hand quadrant. If confirmed by the magnet test, rock might need some additional testing. If a meteorite, then possibly a stony-iron meteorite, which can have relatively little iron in it, and (very) rarely is lighter than a nickel-iron meteorite or chrondrite.

Nice story and Cache. :o :icon_thumleft: I'd say your rock is a piece of Coal, it could be a meteorite but likely coal. The first test is a magnet if its not magnetic its coal if it is then maybe a meteorite. :icon_thumleft: :headbang:

Keep @ it and HH !! ;D :D
