Got out for a couple of hours for the first time this year with a couple buddies and had some really nice finds!

Big find was the 1848 Large Cent that was in great condition! I am teaching about the Mexican War right now and pretty cool it's the same year the treaty was signed.

The other finds were bullets. Found a nice .69 caliber Musket ball, normal Musket ball, couple pistol shots and a more modern bullet. Anyone have any idea what thay modern bullet is?

Excited to be back at it!!
Dan

Great cent! Congrats.
Your modern bullet looks a lot like a buffalo bullet.

Great finds. The modern looks like a shotgun slug.

Congrats on the LC. :occasion14: Are you going to show the students that coin?

Absolutely! I bring most things in and show them. They love it! It really adds to the lesson and they appreciate the possible stories behind each item.

Very nice - 1848 Large Cent

Nice finds Dan!! Love the large cent. Very cool that you share with your students. Congrats man!!
