First hunt with the CTX since Andy's Boot Camp

I went out to a trusted site, and put in 3 hours with the CTX. It was about time I got out! Now 20 days since the boot camp.

I didn't try any tricks, adjustments, etc. I just felt more comfortable with it. I did fairly well, 15 quarters, 12 dimes, 2 nickels, and 35 cents. That's a total of $5.40. No point in taking a picture of the group, my hands shake so they'd be blurry anyway!

When I pulled this out of the ground I thought it was silver. No markings so I tested it, and it's not silver:

And this pin, I think it's some kind of marijuana formula:

And this is odd - lead squares which break away as individuals - 1/4 oz 7gm. For weight scales?

It was good to get out.

Thanks, that leaf had me excited a wee bit. I'd just swung the same with the beast for two years, now I know there's no rocket science to this machine, I really was more comfortable with it. There's more out there waiting.

Glad to hear you got out Bud. Not sure but I think the lead is a stick on wheel weight that they use on the inside of fancy wheels so you can't see them. Nice hunt.

That's them exactly! I was thinking they might be for re-loading ammo. Thanks! Mystery solved!

It reads like you dug your share of targets today. Glad to see you escaped for this hunt. Being that you felt more comfortable, it sounds to me that the CTX is now clicking more and more for ya.
