Hi all:
Since finding my first SLQ early this year, good finds have been hard to come by. I recalled the other day that all my good finds have been in crummy, cold, snowy weather so I figured maybe the weather lately in MI has just been too nice.
Today it was 44 degrees, overcast, windy, with rain in the forecast....I hoped my luck would change.
The kids were on Easter break today so we headed back to our friend's house (former 1873 home site). My 8YO son pulled out a '66 Lincoln in his first hole.....hmmm, maybe another detector in our future some day? I couldn't let him skunk me so I kept detecting long after the kids were bored and went off to play. I dug my first IH of the season, a 1907. Also found a Colgate/Palmolive token for shave cream. A '41 Wheatie as well. Hurray, the drought is over! (Now to find the silver...)
Thanks for looking and HH,
Michiganne
