Went hunting most of the day today. I hunted an old church and a couple of old farm houses. Ended up with mostly alot of junk and by junk I mean pop tops, shell casings, canning jar lids, etc..etc. I cant believe how much junk there is around those old farm houses. I did happen to get a couple of wheat pennies and I also got a first today, an 1892 Indian Head cent which is in real nice shape. Thanks for taking a look.

Something is up with the A on America on that Indian. Does it look like damage while digging it or is it possible to be an error coin?

Thanks for all the comments... and yes skypilot for whatever reason the soil up has been very kind to all of the old copper that I have dug up(wheatbacks and now my Indian Head). The soul down south must be alot more acidic or something and it reacts with the copper...JMO.

Very nice coins which one was it that was mainly steele where the copper was rare? I don't have my book handy but you might have a very valuable cion in that 1945.

Nice IH :icon_thumleft: really good shape, all that junk goes with coins no junk no coins normally Good Hunt Dd60

Indian heads will become harder to find as time goes on.

Enjoy it while you can.

I found three in Idaho about 16 years ago (the desert soil was very kind) and I figured they were easy to find (not true.)
