043.JPG028.JPG017.JPG Back out today detecting around a deserted farm and found my first Large Cent (1838). Also found an old Fletcher's Castoria bottle, some clad coins, an old horse bridle ring, 2 small buttons, an old file, a couple of rifle shell casings, and some old iron farming implements. Am wondering what the large iron ring might of been too? Assume it is a horse ring of sorts?

Great job on the LC bud. Very cool feeling to dig an early copper. Wait til you hit an early silver. Keep working hard and that will be the first of many

Congratulations on finding your first LC, the aquamarine coloured bottle is a cool find too!
