First MD and first find

I got my birthday present yesterday - a Bounty Hunter Land Ranger. I went to my front yard to give it a try late last night and my first hit was my first silver. I found a 1964 quarter.

First Time and silver. You should hang in there, sounds like you have a natural talent for Detecting. Some people go months or years without finding a silver coin.

I was hooked after lurking and reading for the past month on this forum prior to deciding what I wanted my wife to get me.


I may have come across a small bit of luck tho. I was talking to a friend last night about my new hobby. I knew they lived on the outskirts of Averasboro Battleground (in North Carolina), but i didn't fully realize they lived almost in the middle of the "road to war". I am working on trying to go out to their place sometime real soon and hit their yard and the creek bed next to their house.
