First of the 'Stubble' fields by the river.

Completed the first of the 4 stubble fields by the river.
Found loads of buttons and a few 'recent' decimal coins:


including this 'Wolf' livery button:


Loads of older coins, most so smooth that all detail has gone:


4 bits of silver (1943 'Two Shillings', 1922 & 1924 'One Shilling' & 1920 'Sixpence':


1806/07 George III Penny:


1806 George III Halfpenny:


and this 1770s George III Irish Halfpenny:


Found 2 more 'complete' horse shoes and these bits, thimble, musket ball, broken pan weight, etc:


Three more fields to do (time permitting)

Great stuff. That's a great collection of buttons you found, and the wolf button is surely a keeper.

Any area beside a river should have a great chance for some treasure.

Nor, am I. Its the right size & shape for one but with no marks it makes it a hard call
