Hi everyone,
We recently took our DIY metal-detecting rover to a small local park for a field test. In about 30 minutes of testing, we managed to dig up three iron objects.
There are still quite a few small issues we need to improve and fix, including stability, signal accuracy, and the way the rover handles different ground conditions. But overall, this test shows that the basic method is workable and worth continuing to develop.
This is still an early prototype, so we are treating this as a learning process. We will keep improving the design and testing it in more real-world environments.
I’d be happy to hear any suggestions from people here who have experience with DIY detectors, detecting carts, or robotic platforms.
Thanks!

Which detector did you build into it?
