I found my first point a couple of months ago on a beach in Mississippi. I'll never forget the feeling of staring down at it and not quite believing what I was seeing. Pretty awesome feeling isn't it?

Absolutely! I had my 3rd neck surgery this year a little over 6 weeks ago and my wife told me I need to do something to occupy my mind. 500 yards from my house in Will County Illinois there is a know Indian village so I did my research and started walking when I got the wind back in my sails. It’s extremely hard to look down for more than a few minutes. I stopped to rest and looked over and there it was. If I could’ve yelled I would have. Been telling neighbors that for sure there’s Indian artifacts in the creek 200’ from my front door. I found another spot that the dog and I are going to search right now. It’s

Congrats on your first point. That is a very nice looking one. I am in Will County also, and find numerous points while I'm metal detecting. Get yourself access to some farm fields, and your finds will please you. It's a great area to look in, with a lot of Native American history.
