Found my first ring (I think) today in 3 years of detecting.

Here are the details:

I think its copper.

If anyone has any info or has found something similar, please let me know.

Thanks

Yep! Old copper ring, I've found a couple, cheap alternative to precious metal ring...they usually clean up nice...good save..Ddf.

Thanks

Way to go Mike! Now here's a well known secret to finding your first Gold ring... dig, dig and dig all those pull tab signals because one of those will be a beautiful Gold ring looking up at you.

Thanks. I agree about the V3i. I've been using intensely for 2 years and its paid off. i love the programmability of it. I hunt using two to four programs to try and give me extra info about each target.

Are there any marks inside? I’ve found rings like that marked 14k, probably plated and made to fool someone. At any rate congrats of your first ring!

I am still searching for marks but haven't found any. i didn't want to remove any more of the patina at this point. thanks for the kudos.

Here is a look at the inside. it appears to show some sort of script engraving and a square makers mark to the left that may or may not have the letter "p" in it. i'm afraid to remove the patina for fear of losing the engraving.IMG_20181006_202835.jpgIMG_20181006_202839.jpg

Cool ring. Keep on swinging and the Gold wont be far behind.
