FIRST SILVER COIN X's 2!!! first war nickel, and a REALLY cool whatzit!!!
Been a few days,
but I finally got out. Okay, so here's the deal. I have been struggling with my Bounty Hunter 505. It's not what I hoped it would be, and I am going to upgrade in a week or so. Anyway, still found some good stuff today!

Found my first silver coin...a 1939 "S" Washington. It was about 10" down, and registered anywhere from penny to nickle at all depths (like I said, not what I hoped it would be).

Here's two more I found about a foot away and 4 inches down, in the same hole. Amazing the difference between the silver and the clad....both 1965, just one year off!!!

Here's my first war nickel! I am excited about this one. Been finding a lot of 63's and 64's, but no 43 "D" till tonight (and I mean night)!

I had been all over this area before, but I ignore the high pull tab signals and the non repeatables, and the only coins I found were about 1 to 4 inches down. Now that I am digging all non-iron signals (no matter how weird and faint) I am starting to find some in the 6 inch range, I just have to ignore what my MD is telling me it is, and be DIRECTLY over it. My friends don't have this problem...lol.
Now for the whatzit! I love this thing and I am going to post it in the what is it section.

It was about 6" down...

And I found all of these within 15 feet of my first good coin, this 1899 Indian Head about 4 inches down in December.

Thanks for lookin' and thanks for your comments everyone!!!
