First silver finally....and a suprise with it!!!!

I have been metal detecting for about a month and a half, and I finally found silver! It is this 1926 Merc dime, along with it was the 1943 steal wheat penny. It is a good thing the dime was there because I had the discrimination set to ignor that type of metal. I was in a local park.

I hated the M6 at first because I had no idea what I was doing. I was hunting in VERY trashy areas and didn't know the difference between a good hit or not. After a month of using it, I love it. It really picks up targets and the VDI display is dead on. I want to get a different coil for hunting trashy areas, but that will come later.

It was in a rock garden. I am not sure why it hasn't rusted. Possibly the dime touching it kept it from rusting. There is a little bit of rust.
