WOW!!!! :occasion18::wav: Way to go!!!This past April I pulled my one and only Peace Dollar outta' the ground...and I been at it since '84! Don't ever forget what that felt like...Most detectorists never get to experience a Silver Dollar find!!! WOO HOO!

thats awesome, bet it felt awesome to pull that big honkin chunk o' silver out of the ground!

Whoa! somehow that just doesn't seem fair. I've not found one after 38 years of hunting, and you go and find one right off the bat. makes me want to kick my dog. I guess it's a good thing I don't own a dog. :laughing9: awesome find for sure. congrats!

On my lord, that's a great silver!

Not only a silver $, but an (apparently) readable date on the Buff!
Is it a 1920? Can you make out the MM on the bottom of the reverse. Options are D, S or blank for Philly.

Congrats

Congrats and the find! Awesome!

Congrats on the First... That is a heck of a way to get things started!

A dollar coin is STILL on my list. Congrats on your good finds!

Cant imagine the tone on a silver dollar. Way to go!!!!!!

Wonderful find ! I was fortunate to join the "silver dollar club " with a 1923-S Peace Dollar , detected in Santa Fe, NM.

First time I went metal detecting was after WWII using a surplus mine detector. In 1966 or 67 I purchased my first very own Whites, and I lived in Nevada where silver dollars were common as fleas on dogs, and I've never found one. That's over 45 years and any silver dollar is still on my list to find. You have an excellent find, congratulations.

I've been detecting for about 10 years, but just recently picked back up due to moving around a lot etc.. Yea it was pretty cool pulling that bad boy out of the ground. Good luck to you.

Tokameel, you are correct it is a 1920 Buff... No I can not make out the MM on the reverse unfortunatly.
Thanks,

My Kingdom for a Peace Dollar. Congrats.

That's a tough coin to cross off your bucket list and you found one--sounds like you've returned to the hobby with a bang. Congrats!
