First Silver Half! old print thingy??

[Mirage]

This year might be a good one. Got my first indian head and now first silver half. Had to pick through a bunch of trash but it was worth it. Clad was mostly my sons. He was at the site for a few hours while I was helping my brother move. He did find a few wheats.

Was searching my mom's 1853 home and found the lead plate thingy down twelve inches. Had to do a mirror image. Can't make out any complete senctances but can read some words and phrases like '"Confederates" , "was wounded", "watchman's gun", "surrender", etc. What is it ?
