I hit two different areas of the park today, the first area had given me tokens in the past and today was no different, I think I dug my oldest
One today its a 1928 presidential campaign token it reads " Alfred E. Smith for president ", this area also yielded my first smartphone, I think someone stole it, then buried it about an inch down. And then I hit that area that has produced some older items and I think I dug my first skeleton key, well it's just half, but I think it still counts.

Cool pres. token :occasion14:

Cool token, especially if you're a "Boardwalk Empire" fan.

That's what I thought at first, but it literally looks broken, take a look. However I could be wrong.

Love the token! Nice finds!

Cool Presidential token, great detail!

cool digs. The campaign token rocks. have you looked at the sim card to see if you can find any clues as to who the owner was?

Loco, its a prepaid phone, those don't have Sim card I think, at least there wasn't one when I opened it. There was a micro SD card with pictures, but I wouldn't know how to contact them. The phone is completely gone, the battery is all puffed up. The first two inches of the ground are frozen, just from having it on my pocket it begun to melt. There was water pouring from all outputs.

It was just a thought. Thanks for the explanation.

NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.

Herbert Hoover beat Alfred E Smith in a landslide victory.
Prior to his bid for president, Mr. Smith served 3 terms as New York's Governor. It was during this time that he befriended a man named Robert Moses. Moses was responsible for getting more NY public projects built than any builder in History. He built parks, beaches, and numerous highways. They put a lot of people to work in the post depression era of the 30's.
Really cool find.

Yes the token is a nice keeper, I thought it was a half dollar, it was still kind of dark 7:05am and it was about 7-8 inches down laying flat. Kind of disappointed when it wasn't silver, but I'm over that now, I really like it for what it is.
