Detector(s) used
Current: Nokta Makro Simplex+, Teknetics Patriot, Fisher Gold Bug (original), GP Pinpointer (Garrett Clone) Lesche. Owned: Omega 8000, Minelab X-Terra 505, Fisher F2, Tesoro Vaquero, & Compadre, Whit
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Went a spot I gave working for last 2 hunts, gridding basically 2, 30 x 30 ft. areas. This was my 4th time swinging my new Teknetics Patriot. I used the NEL Sharpshooter coil from my Omega today and the depth and accuracy were great! About 10 minutes in, I got a solid high tone and 85 vdi. Dug the quarter at 5", unfortunately no visible date. Dug a few dimed sized lead pieces at 6-8" all solid tones, all with a coil that is not supposed to be compatible with my machine!

To a fellow Californian, let me be the first to say "congratz" :) Standing quarters are pretty coins.

And next will be barber quarters. Then seateds. Then busts. Then gold coins. Pretty soon, any gold coin NEWER than 1850, will bore you to tears !

congrats! I love standing libs. I've only found just in a few in 40+ years of hunting

Very nice, I haven't found a SLQ yet. The NEL Sharpshooter is a great coil.

Nice job! Jeez...it's been AGES since I found any of those. WTG. 🙌

Very nice! I've only found one is 5 years of detecting, so it's not a common find.

Thanks Tom! I was totally stoked! Almost gave up on detecting, but I am glad I still got the bug!

Thanks guys! I am definitely going back there tomorrow, I got a feeling I just 'scratched the surface', LOL!

Congrats on the score! Those SLQs are tough to find. I have 3 of them, but it took every bit of 4 years to find them. For me, 1 out of every 100 silver coins found is an SLQ.

Good luck, and I hope some more good coins sir!

Nice, Congrats! I found my 2nd one ever last week. Of course both of mine had no dates..

That’s a great find!! I found one a while back and it was a great feeling!! Keep looking.

Great Find!! Congrats!!!

Never gets old looking at slq or Walkers. Congrats
