First Tejon finds in my backyard

Philvis · Apr 17, 2008

I got my Tejon on Monday and have been testing it out the past couple nights when I got home from the office. My backyard backs up to a Civil War battlefield park, so I had some high hopes of possibly finding something good. I will first say that either my yard was a penny depository or the Tejon is a penny magnet, because I found 11 over about 1 hours worth of searching around. I also dug out a quarter. My big find though was a couple of minie balls! Definitely my best finds to date. I had a Garrett Grand Master Hunter, but never really found more than a couple bucks in change on the odd occasions I used it. What's even more encouraging is that I have a network of trenches about 30 yards from my back yard and it isn't on park land, so I will hit that area this weekend. I hope to have some more updates if all goes well.

Any day detecting is a good day. I hope we will be seeing some more finds from those trenches. Good luck and HH.

Off to a great start with the new Tejon!

Amazing how a different machine can go right in and find new digs.

GMH is certainly no liteweight hitter!

Congrats, and good luck in those trenches.
