I'm on vacation with the family and we stopped in Oklahoma City at about 8 different thrift shops and the last stop yields sterling.

Wallace Sterling Romance of the Sea two pieces mixed in with plated and stainless steel flatware. One item is a 7 1/4" dinner fork and the other is a 6 1/2" salad fork. First time ever scoring Ina thrift store. See photos. Both pieces only twenty-six cents, yes 0.26. Those are really unique and pretty! Are you going to put them in the scrap pile, or try to find a buyer?
Congrats BTW!

I'm probably keeping these ones for life, lol. Since it's my first sterling score, heck score at a thrift shop period, I'll keep them. They are also in great shape. Can't wait to get home and clean them up and store them properly. I'll be prowling more and more thrifts back home now. Thanks for you comment.

Oklahoma?? For VACATION?!?!? -- -- -- View attachment 1342548

I know right! Family wanted Turner Falls and ar buckle wilderness. First time they've been at a drive thru safari. So we made the hour and half trip up to ok city since we hiked and swam and all already. Hit up about eight thrift shops. Goodwill sucks kinda. It's just that they now know what not to put on the sales floor. So I found these at a family thrift store and wow are they nice.

Back to goodwill, I did get a call yesterday from one of my locals and it seems I've won a silent auction for some hockey stuff. It has a couple Chicago Blackhawks pictures to hang up with corner protection in tact still and two binders full of hockey cards for $28. I go get them Tuesday and see if I did good or bad on that deal. My third child is a hockey fan and it'll make a great inexpensive Christmas gift. With any luck, there will be some great key player cards in there.

Lastly, I hit up a casino for about an hour and won $280 over what I took out to play. So when I cashed the ticket, I got a star note $100 from the casino with minima folding. Kinda of a great weekend even spent in Oklahoma.

Nice score on the forks! I keep several of our sterling pieces myself just to use and enjoy. Well done!

Sounds like everyone had fun. My kind of vacation.

Well done!

Hey, we have some good stuff to see. Brockdarr went to the best one. Ok, so that is the only one. And to come out ahead at the Casino must have been an off day they like to keep those pretty tight. Good job. Now where is this Family Thrift store?

Use to be the only reason a Texan went to Oklahoma was for punishment. :laughing7:

Yep, guess times have certainly changed.

@Beans, that's my cats name too. Anyways the thrift shop was in Oklahoma City and its called Ok family thrift. I think it was on 23rd. It's next to a BBQ joint and there's a bit of construction. The case was filled with watches but I don't know what I'm doing with those yet. Nice thrift shop.
