First time out

First time out metal detecting-found penny, nickel, couple. 22 casings , and a fishing sinker. Not much but since I am new at detecting, it was enough to get me hooked

Congrats on your first finds. Get a good digger and learn how to dig a clean plug and go nuts!

Well first one kinda looked like wood chuck moved in, but after a few, they got better. Can't wait to get back out

Welcome mate. You seem to be starting out as I did with a Whites DFX. Pretty complex machine for a newbie. I had some hurdles to overcome learning the DFX but, folks @ the Whites forum helped out a bunch. It's a darn good machine once you learn to navigate the menu and adjust settings according to your hunting specifics. Get some pictures for us when the goodies start coming. Do practice cutting "clean" plugs to keep yourself in harmony with your neighbors and advance your territory. Most of all have fun.
