First Time Panning

Been on the forum for a while, but this is my first post.

Panned for the first time on Tuesday this week. Took samples.

Got black sand. I was happy to see it and I was happier that I could keep it in the pan.

Congrats! Now you need to keep your eyes open! There could have been little specks of gold in there. My mistake was thinking it'll all be chunky, yet gold can be smaller that your eyes can see, so keep your eyes peeled and good luck on future outings!

1st - I noticed this is your very first post - so, welcome aboard from the great state of Pennsylvania (USA).

2nd - You didn't mention your state (or country) - but you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).
