Yep that looks familar..keep going because it only gets better. Atleast you got the old style pull tabs first time out.

Looks like you are off to a good start. Keep digging!

Darn I love the look of those pull tabs..lol I have seen soooo many...Ur doing good my friend...HH

You're doing good, things will be getting better and better each time out. Good luck & happy hunting...keep us posted of those future finds. ;D

;) RR

Thanks for looking and replying. Do all non gold or silver coins turn copper color after the been in the ground for a while?

way to go kevin......keep practicing and you WILL find the goodies....and yes the coins do turn brown in the dirt....all of mine are anyway....sometimes the easiest way to tell the difference in a dime and penny are the size .....keep it up it gets a lot better

Think the color of the coins kinda depends on the soil. I dug a 1935 quarter that looked like it just came out of the bank it was so shiny...then I dug a merc that looked almost like a penny..cruddy as heck..So you really never know..HH

Been there, done that, probably doing it again within a week. Pretty typical haul for one of my lunch hour park trips.

That's the way you'll learn your detector. Now start thinking: "where would the older coins be?" (If that's where you'd like to be headed).

Keep it up my friend, that ace250 is a coin/ring magnet (chick magnet too, trust me)

Nice start and welcome to the forum. That Ace 250 will take some getting used to but you will find great stuff with it. Dig all those pull tab and nickel signals because sometimes it's a gold ring. I found one gold ring with mine and it showed up as a solid nickel signal. I found a silver ring that showed up as a dime. Try setting your detector on the kitchen table with it on and wave every kind of ring and coin you have available over the loop and get to know what each one sounds like and where it shows up on the screen. I have hunted a few places with it that was so full of junk that I thought I would go nuts at first. So I tried turning the sensitivity all the way down and it still found coins very good. Have fun with your Ace!!!

Welcome aboard, it only gets better. Keep it up!!!

Welcome aboard kevin , I tried my ace out last week for the first time and now it is like a drug to me I just wanna be out there diggin. The wife told me maybe I should dig my own grave so she can throw me in it because now she will never see me :P .

Remember that you must dig the trash to get to the stash.

It looks like you've been in my back yard! :D

You did good for you first time out. You did much better than I did my first time out. Keep at it & you will find the good stuff. You are off to a very good start.
