Looks like you had a great year. Hope the next year treats you that good.

Your like the superstar of detecting for your first year..... wow...

Amazing finds...you should be proud of yourself. Many do not find that in their entire detecting lives. :occasion14:

If T-Net offered a " Rookie of the Year" award, you would be a great candidate. Congratulations on a fantastic collection of finds. Hope your Sophomore year is just as productive!

Wow! What a great year!

Chris - a warm welcome and big congrats for an awesome year. Thanks for taking the plunge and sharing the pics. Your kind of results don't happen without serious research and diligence, regardless of a great locale. Much respect.

Hope you can share more of your hunts, process, etc in the future.

Nice finds! The old adage of "location, location, location" applies here. I assume your screen name is related to your location. If your first year of detecting was here in SoCal, the photos would look completely different. You may have had a box full of rings instead of old coins!

Say, that chewed up copper at 6 o'clock in your coin roundup wouldn't happen to be a fugio, would it?

Also, would love to see pics of the reverses. So many in such great condition. That KgIII in the lower right has some killer detail.

Incredible year you had! I scrolled down each picture, and each got better and better... you saved the best for last though, the cannon... outstanding.

P9013285 (1).JPGThe chewed up coin is a fugio but made of pewter. I collect colonial coins and have never seen another

Man you really know how to set the bar for first year diggers!!!
Congrats!!!!

WOW... really nice stuff. Congrats on a really nice set of finds. GL.

For a first year you did great. Actually, the early LC's would be a great year for anyone. Just have to ask, did you find the coin that's your avatar?

P9283552.JPGNo the coin on my avatar I bought about 20 years ago and was one of my first colonial state coppers. I now have many more. These are just my Connecticuts

Wow you did really well your first year. I know some guys that haven't done that well in 10 years of detecting.

Those are some nice CT's. I noticed a number of hercules heads, african heads, muttonheads, small head, laughing head, snipe nose and more. Nice group of coins. I have some CT's myself. We probably know some of the same people. Here' some of my CT's. Pretty high res so you can click on the photo and then click again for close up.
