AI Overview

The Long Tailed Grass Lizard has the longest tail in proportion to its body length, with a tail that can be over three times the length of its body. For absolute tail length, the Blue Whale has the largest tail, while the Giraffe has the longest tail of any land mammal, reaching up to 8 feet (2.4 meters). The Thresher Shark also has a proportionally long tail, as its upper caudal fin lobe can be as long as its body.

Here's a breakdown of longest tails by category:
  • Longest tail to body ratio (overall): The Long Tailed Grass Lizard.

  • Longest tail to body ratio (bird): The Male Long-tailed Widowbird, with a tail four times its body length.

    • Longest absolute tail (land mammal): The Giraffe.
    • Longest absolute tail (overall): The Blue Whale.
    • Longest tail (fish/shark): The Thresher Shark, with a scythe-shaped upper tail fin.
Had a look at those widow birds, its a wonder they can fly some of them. Strange creature.

Wow! Not a pretty sound😊
We see one running across the ice in the winter. This past winter it was 30 ft from the house heading towards the creek.
Not a fan of these killers.

This photo was taken with a Canon Rebel and a wide angle lens activated by a motion sensor. Also had two low power off camera flashes that probably didn't do much good since it was day time.

As far as trail cameras go, I use Brownings and a couple with brand name of Blaze that were recommended to me. The price was right on Amazon, they work good but no sound if that's important to you.
