Fishing with magnets could be hazardous.

They were sold near the site at one time. Per a local forum.
Also likely used to free up ice jams in the area.

Plans in the works to remove that dam and "restore the rapids".
Lots of junk in the river. No surprise with the folks along it's banks since the natives used to be there.
Catfishing had it's hazards when I used to fish it.
More crap than a broken toilet....
Busted concrete , former spools of wire from who knows what , just for starters...

A great former river valley site.
Concrete vs water hydraulics today.
A former gypsum mine below the river near the recovery site used for storage . Not sure if it still is.
Water cut caverns/erosion under at least one huge building near the river getting serious amounts of concrete pumped into them in the past...

People can be crazy....
Blowing up ice dams is just another way of fighting nature.

I keep saying a story is no good without photos....
