I found this while detecting in georgia near known civil war activity. At first I thought it was a flat button, but once I cleaned it up some I wasn't so sure. Any ideas?

I have something similar, I think mine is a stud from a pair of overalls. The part the shoulder strap hooks to. uploadfromtaptalk1459418185741.webpuploadfromtaptalk1459418207224.webp
