Flea market find. I think it may be rare. What is it?

I was doing my random flea market picking this morning and came across this for .50 cents.. I have no idea what it is except is silver. Pls help

I can't find the pin anywhere on the internet though.. My mother which is 71 said it may be from a particular event but I cannot find the pin at all.

If it's NBC, it's a 'knock-off' or replica.
The original 'bird', in 1956, had 11 feathers; as did the subsequent version (beginning in 1962) and the third version from 1979 to 1986. Not until 1986 was the 6 feathered 'bird' logo introduced; and the last color (on the right) was green, not yellow.
