You will be here just in time for hurricane season...;)

American by birth, Patriot by choice.

I would rather die standing on my two feet defending our Constitution than live a lifetime on my knees......

I wish you the very best in your new venture, gobble-gobble!

Thank you Lorraine, we can't wait for the sunshine

ahh, you'll love the sunshine. Specially when it's 95 degrees for 5 months and your air conditioning repairman has become your best buddy and you don't want to go outside. Or your dermatologist starts to name the melanomas he cuts out of your arms and exposed areas. The sunshine is great.

here's a hint, watch some of the local fishing shows and ask yourself, "self, why do those guys look like they're going to rob a 7-11 while they are on a boat?"

but by all means, welcome. Enjoy the beaches and find some stuff.

We can't wait , here on LI we boated most of our lives. Yup it get's hot here also but we love it. It is definitely a money saver for us , we can get much more for our money. HVAC was my trade for many years, but I don't have anything left, gave it all to my son's8-) Just will have to call them to do any repairs:thumbsup:

Nice area, sun city is heavy in retirement, Tampa is just a small big city, a lot of history all around there, a lot of culture for sure. And even nicer is the gulf is heck of a lot calmer then the Atlantic. Be safe

Good luck on your house hunting!

We moved down to Sun City about 1 month ago and are very happy we did. I know the summers are hot, but that is what air conditioning is all about.

Drop me a note when you get down here and we can explore some of the beaches.

I went to Treasure Island twice in June 98,99. The humidity was enough to kill you. The locals kept telling me I hadn't seen nothing. They told me to come back in August.

yes, there is something a bit different to moving 1500 miles closer to the equator. Especially when that humidity lasts until October.

But it is a great place to live.

That's for sure Dave, once we get settled

We're coming back north in July & Aug. for awhile

It's sure is going to be a GREAT place to live:occasion14:

Theres_Treasure_Everywhere.gif GOOD LUCK

Thank you:occasion14:

just don't buy a house near any water, your flood insurance rates will sky rocket. And don't buy one near sinkhole alley either, Avoid the new toll road area as well. Don't buy anything older than 1955 or younger than 2012 (chinese drywall, osb sheathing and all that). and be prepared for medical mj, it's comin.

This is a great place though, come on to the beach and find some goodies, :occasion14:

Congrats Rem, we will miss you! Shawn

Yep it gets hot down here. In the summer there is nothing better then a storm rolling in. Cools things down for about 10 min. Then the humidity blasts u in the face. Its all apart of living in paradise. Welcome aboard mate. Go get some oj.

This is exactly what I am working towards. I already bought my house down there and I am working to Finnish my house in Maine so I can sell it. I hate snow, the northeast and taxes, one of these days I might just snap and blast out of here early...

sent from a potato...
