went to vortex to check it out. what a great place this is.i can see that we all are going to have a lot of fun here. got my reservation made so im all set for the hunt! here a pic to get u started drooling. im going to have to post these singly as the resize prog im using is somehow not happy w tnet.

a closer shot of them fish. that water is soooo clear that the fish seem to be floating in midair.water look inches deep but is 5 ft plus

hi daddy! im in tallahassee right now is 44 degrees. according to weather underground its 40 at the town nearest the springs. todays high was 62.i played 9 holes walking at the florida caverns state park golf course,near there. it was gorgeous. on the day the pics were taken it was near evening.hopefully it will be warmer the weekend of the hunt.

Hey Scrounger, how's the vacation going down in my neck of the woods (we live just North of Tallahassee)? It's sure a long way from the Great Lakes, eh!? So you gonna be down here until the Vortex Hunt or what?
Anyway, was it you brought this cold weather down from North of the Windy City? It's been in the 70's during the day and the 50's at night for the last few weeks............ now we have this cold front coming?!?
Maybe we can get together for lunch or dinner if you guys have the time, my treat. My wife will even participate in the conversation and is actually interested in detecting, she just doesn't have time to cause she's got a job.......
I tell her "Don't worry hon, one day you'll be retired too, then you can be a worthless bum like me."
She says she'll never be THAT worthless tho................. is that an insult?!
