I wasn't making fun of what you found. Back then you could have traded aluminum for gold probably. I'm just proud of you for being there and trying to find something. Lord knows you are in the right place to hunt!!! You give us all hope while we sit home in the cold and wish we were with you and your wife having fun! Your camera gives me hope too! I can pretend I'm 4 years younger.....who wouldn't wish that!!

well it wasnt all can slaw. i did get 4 modern coins. also a flattened piece of lead from the galleons bottom. it still has the sailcloth pattern pressed in to it. and two rusted metal pcs. i was told by the lady at the museum that the lead is period. 16th century ship bottom was wood coated with pitch then a layer of sailcloth and lastly thin lead plating. SO I DID ACTUALLY FIND A SMALL PIECE OF A 1715 SHIP. the rusty pcs were found on the last hunt and i didnt get to show them to the museum people. but was told by another beachcomber that they are also prob from the GREEN CABIN WRECK of the 1715 plate fleet when found in that area.

I was going to post this elsewhere,but since you 'al are having music at the hunt,I'll post it here.The wife and I loved to dance.Her three favorite songs were 'Chances Are' and Spanish Eyes' and 'Anytime'.Bet we danced a million miles to those plus many others.Anyway,this clip shows that you are never too old.This lady is 87.Watch it all and then I want to see the dance pics from the hunt.And you lala gals better be prepared at the next hunt I show up for.

Daddy you asked which hand well for those going to the hunt its the left for those staying home the right unless your left handed then the other way around! Got that

Scrounger thanks for the info I know what you mean about staying for hours and wanting to stay longer even in just the small scale traveling part we saw so since I can't see the main one in person you did good with what you shared with us! Thanks again!

FYI, the Atlanta airport has an underground tram to get you from gate section to section if you don't want to have a long walk. Also be prepared for fast starts and stop.

I think I will have time on that layover. lol The short one is in Salt Lake City on the way back....only 45 mins between flights. lol
