Florida officials are warning residents not to eat Giant African land snails that may cause meningitis and are spreading throughout Pasco County so quickly that 1,000 have already been captured

sheesh you dont even want to touch them.

This is in my neck of the woods... been all over the news... asking people to look out for them.

Obviously some idiot imported them for some lame reason.

They carry some Rat disease... i cannot remember the name.

From what i understood is they slime over Rat droppings and contract and spread it.... as they eat everything in their paths.

Seriously,I feel for you guys.I thought we had it bad with that damn water hyacinth.Ya,ll got big honking snakes,lizards,weird fish and now snails,poison snails at that.
