Well Old Dog got me started so if this bores you, blame him!
I walked around my yard with my trusty Canon S3 and took pictures of what was blooming around the yard.
First you have to understand that I prefer contriolled chaos. I have grassy areas and then there are areas where there are wild plants and plants that I have planted over the years. Unfortunately I don't remember the "names" of some of them so if you wish to tell me I won't be offended.
This first ic is an example of what I call controlled chaos; a fountain surrounded by Peppermint, a hibiscus tree, and something with berries in the fall:
Here's a big shrub I have along one side of the house (10 feet or more tall):
An Iris in the middle of Monkey Grass around the pool:
A Yucca Plant ready to bloom in the Monkey Grass around the pool:
Impatiens along the steps to the pool:
And 3 different rose bushes around the house:
