Got a new camera and thought I'd try the zoom to see how well it works. Saw a jet contrail being made and took a couple of shots. Not bad for handheld.





Refinery stack from about a 1/2 mile.

serger, it's a Canon SX100 IS. Picked it up at a pawn shop for $50.

Thanks Kim. So many functions on it, I may have to stop detecting and learn them (Not...LOL) Told Evy to put it on autopilot for now.

Contrails usually happen at or above 26,000 feet so that plane is a LONG way away. A lot further than a half mile.
