Met up with Louis to check out an 1860-1960 dot in the park woods a couple towns over.

Knew we were up for a lot of more modern stuff when we saw this greeting us on the path in.

We found some IHPs and wheats, buckles, horse tack and the usual mix of old and new. Then I found this weird plated ring.

The What’s It team came through with a great ID.

And towards the end I got a deep small clean

Surprised to see a 1858 Flying Eagle small cent pop out of the more modern stuff. Only my second ever.

Made it out again on Sunday at an old spot 5 minutes from my house and got one nice signal.

This little compact had some unusual copy on the back.

But the best part of the weekend was taking my whole family out to an old spot ( where I found the LC) and spent an hour bottle digging. They had a blast and no smart phones!

Cleaned them up while I made a quick holder for their grandparents.

Good luck out there and be safe!

You got a US one cent trifecta there

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Bottles, coins, bric-a-brac, even a Cheerios Lone Ranger Rinig. WHOO-HOO!

That is one heck of a handful of old cents right there! So cool!!

That's a great day of digging. : ) The flying eagle has escaped me so far, I'll find one someday though.

Impressive for you to pull that FE and nice score with the Lone Ranger ring. None of my miners tags cleaned up well either.

Great variety of finds. Looks like you had quality time with your family digging bottles.

Nice finds. The Flying eagle really cleaned up nice.

A great time and a lot of great finds - congrats on the Trifecta !
