Thanks Charlie! I appreciate you for trying to help.
I'm still not sure, but that leaf you posted sure does look like my leaves.
I know a lot about plants and trees, but somehow the Sycamore slipped past me! I need to research, and see if it is native or invasive. I try to eliminate anything that doesn't belong here.
I wonder how it got here. Animal feces?

You could download the app. Inaturalist
Great feature for plants.trees, bugs, take photo-click what is it, result in seconds, and it's free.

Beautiful trees. We have some in a local State Park that are well over 100 ft high. Very distinctive bark once they get to be 20 ft high or so. Lots of them along the Chenango River and feeder streams hereabouts.

Looks to be native to your area as well. AKA: "Buttonwood" and "Water Beech"

Thanks to everybody that chimed in, or was interested enough to look at this.
I believe the the sycamore tree identification is correct. Its pretty cool because I cant tell you where the nearest sycamore tree is, so that makes me want to know how it got here!
My reading is telling me of the mammoth size that these grow in to. I'm planning for the permanent home to transplant it to.

Thanks so much Charlie P. I do believe that you have called it!
I want to save it. I just have to figure out where to give it a permanent home!
