Folks, Paul MacCartney - Mull of Kintyre........

[bill from lachine]

Folks,

Something about this song I find very stirring.....must be my Celtic blood when the bagpipes kick
in it gives me goosebumps....lol.

Bill,
Yes, that's a great rendition but let me offer another rendition for your consideration:

When I listen to that song (often) I always listen to both renditions.

Don,

Another great version and thanks for sharing.....given your name you've obviously got some Celtic blood also.....

Highlands, Scotland, aye.

Don,

Another Celtic trait that seems to get me in trouble is being somewhat hard headed but hee....

from Hamlet:- To thine own self be true is not a bad quote.....lol...

Bill,
I'll give you one more of my favorites regarding Scotland. The song is "Flower of Scotland" (in case you wanted to look up the lyrics). This song stirs the blood; especially this rendition:
Enjoy...(Think of me as the guy with the flag wrapped around himself.)

Don.....

[stefen]

A person doesn't need to be of celtic blood to appreciate good music....

The Irish song "Danny Boy" was sung at my brothers funeral...and not a dry eye in the Temple...

[spartacus53]

Don, I just noticed the player wearing #4 looks like the actor Seann William Scott

stefen,

I agree good music is good music regardless of origin......I guess these types of songs just resonate a bit stronger with me because of the connection.
