Reading posts about things being returned to their owners got me finally motivated to find out who this might have been. I found it in Bucks County at a school, and probably it was taken there by a child who lost it. I think it is Syracuse University and is dated 1960 "undefeated". Does any football expert have an idea who "J.A." might have been?

I hope you at least googled this. Sometimes just putting down the few things you have end up giving you the results.

He was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Oneonta NY High School Alumni. I found this on their website. Call the school. I'll bet they have his contact information or will know if he is still living.

Here is the website:

DaCheif, I think I'll have to change your name to "Da Man"! Great information, and yes, I will contact the school and try to follow up on your lead. Thank you!

You are correct. It was my fathers. Good investigation work. I did not even realize this was missing. It is gold. I know this response is 7 years late, but I was just googling my father's name and Syracuse university and this popped up.

Looks like a charm you would give your girlfriend, or maybe it belonged to a cheer leader.

Mystery solved I believe. This is my father's - James Anderson. It was given out for the 1959 undefeated year in 1960. It is Syracuse University. My dad got this his Senior year and gave it to his girlfriend (Karen) who is my mother and his wife.

James Anderson lives in Phoenix now. How can we get this back?

Yes, Trisha and Staci, are right. This was from the Orange Bowl, and the whole team was given one. I did give it to my then girlfriend before we were married.
She then put it on a charm bracelet. That was so long ago and she doesn't remember what happened to it. Thanks for finding it. Jim Anderson
